NEW VICAR APPOINTED FOR ST NICHOLAS,  NEWPORT

We are delighted to announce that the Rev’d Hannah Grivell has been appointed as Vicar of St Nicholas!
 
 
Mother Hannah, who is currently serving her curacy at St. Wulfram’s, Grantham, is no stranger to us. She has been with us one Sunday in each month for some time,  as part of the discernment process involved in the  Diocese’s programme to revitalise urban ministry,
 
The appointment is made with the intention of expanding the ministry of St Nick’s.  While Mother Hannah and her family will be moving to Lincoln shortly, she will be continuing her training with placements which are designed to help her prepare for this dimension of her new ministry.
 
She will be instituted and inducted as our new Vicar on
Thursday 6th November at 7pm.
 
In the meantime, we will keep her and her family in our prayers.
 
SUSPENSION OF ST. NICK’S NIPPERS.
Sadly, due to very low attendance over several months, it has been decided that, as from and including 15th May, regular Thursday morning meetings of St Nick’s Nippers will be suspended for the foreseeable future.
Over the coming months, those involved will be discussing when, how and in what format we should continue our ministry to pre-school children, their parents and carers and we sincerely hope to be able to relaunch at some point later this year.
If you have any thoughts about what you would like to see us providing, please do get in touch.
